In 2024, the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy completed three Bedford County Action Plan funded projects in partnership with the PA Fish and Boat Commission. First, in May, was a project on Potter Creek near Corle Body Shop Road. Then, in late June, a project on Bobs Creek at the Miller property and during the first week of July another project on Bobs Creek at the Kohler property. The Bobs Creek Stream Guardians assisted on the latter two worksites. All three projects were designed to reduce erosion and sediment pollution impacts on Bedford County streams.
All photos in the slide show on this page were provided by WPC. These are presented in the order the projects were completed, with Corle Body Shop Road followed by Miller and then Kohler. The captions provide additional detail.
WPC also applied for funding for a large restoration project on Yellow Creek that included partnering with the US Fish and Wildlife Service for design and construction. In the late summer of 2024, this project was completed. Please follow this link to a new page that describes this project.
